We've tried pricier brands such as Mustela and California Baby, but I prefer the Banana Boat hands-down for the above reasons. What is "horse oil"?
Horse oil has been used as a folk medicine for burns, cuts and insect bites over centuries. It has a long history and its roots go back to the equestrian people of ancient China. It is believed to have been brought to Japan during the Tang Dynasty (618A.D. - 907A.D.). As you can tell by the name, horse oil is an animal fat. Horse oil contains a greater amount of unsaturated fatty acids (essential fatty acids) than saturated fatty acids even though it is an animal fat. It contains alpha-linolenic acids and linoleic acids that cannot be produced in the body.

The best feature of horse oil is its extreme permeability to the skin. As the fatty acid composition of horse oil is similar to that of the human sebum when compared to other oils and fats, its permeability to the skin is outstanding. 1. Eat plenty of fruits and leafy green vegetables, as well as low carbohydrate foods, such as barley, which are also high in fiber. Eating plenty of fiber and drinking plenty of water are important. Mineral water is recommended by PRLog.org, since it promotes a healthy pH. Taking dietary measures to prevent pH imbalance can also prevent bacteria and viruses from growing in the system

2. Eat a healthy balance of food that raises pH levels and food that lowers them. In general, aim for a diet of 75 percent alkaline food and 25 percent acidic. Food that raises pH levels, or is alkaline, include citrus fruits and vegetables. Food that lowers pH levels, or is acidic, include meat and meat products, according to Medline Plus . According to The Wolfe Clinic, green tea and herbal tea are alkaline and can help lower acid levels. Vegetables that do the same include broccoli and asparagus. Pasta and white bread are generally acidifying, along with dairy products including milk and cottage cheese. Be sure to include healthy servings of protein as part of a balanced diet.

3. Design meals incorporating food and spices that neutralize one another. Be sure to drink plenty of water at meals. 1)Do not eat, drink or brush your teeth for 30 minutes to two hours prior to testing.

2)Swallow several times to ensure clean saliva. Spit some of your saliva into a spoon.

3)Immerse the ph strip in the saliva. Then compare to the color chart that came with the pH strips.

You can test with saliva or urine.

I used it to bathe and wash my hair. This soap left my hair soft and tangle free. I really love this soap. My one regret was I only purchased two bars I should have stocked up. But, to my surprise, this soap last even using it daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- After using the African Black Soap for two days I already see a difference in my skin. I have had a bump (not a pimple) in my cheek for 20+years that I couldnt get rid of no matter what prouducts I used. I figured after so long I would just have to get used to it but it still bothered me.Ive used this soap for 2 days and THE BUMP IS GONE!!! --> Started using this when DD started swim classes and was in the pool at least 3 times a week. Gentle enough it doesn't sting and has a nice aroma too. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend and already have. One of the other mother's asked me about it.
