I have been using Banana Boat Baby since my two children were very young, and now they are 13 and 12, and it is the only sunblock that works for us! My son has never gotten a sunburn with Banana Boat Baby!

->This is our favorite sunblock for our 2 year old next to La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics SPF 50+, which is so expensive we only use for his face, neck and chest. The Banana Boat Baby SPF 50 has excellent coverage, yet absorbs easily and is not pasty white. I also love its chemical-free, titanium based formulation and that it's fragrance-free . We've tried pricier brands such as Mustela and California Baby, but I prefer the Banana Boat hands-down for the above reasons. Plus I don't feel guilty slathering on a generous amount on our son since it is so reasonably priced.

What is "horse oil"?
Horse oil has been used as a folk medicine for burns, cuts and insect bites over centuries. It has a long history and its roots go back to the equestrian people of ancient China. It is believed to have been brought to Japan during the Tang Dynasty (618A.D. - 907A.D.). As you can tell by the name, horse oil is an animal fat. Horse oil contains a greater amount of unsaturated fatty acids (essential fatty acids) than saturated fatty acids even though it is an animal fat. It contains alpha-linolenic acids and linoleic acids that cannot be produced in the body.

The best feature of horse oil is its extreme permeability to the skin. As the fatty acid composition of horse oil is similar to that of the human sebum when compared to other oils and fats, its permeability to the skin is outstanding. When applied to the skin, it penetrates smoothly leaving no greasy feelings.

Although horse oil has been used in Japan for hundreds of years for medicinal purposes, it has recently evolved as a popular ingredient in Japanese beauty care (particularly with products geared towards dry or sensitive skin). High in unsaturated fatty acids and linoleic acids, horse oil (and the products that contain it) is useful for treating skin roughness and irritation. But, because it is also a strong moisturizing agent, this ingredient is used for hair care products to treat dry hair and split ends as well.

INDICATIONS:
Mederma Is the leading product for new and exsting scars. A clear, topical gel, Mederma softens and smooths scars resulting from Surgery, Accidents, Injury, Burns, Acne and Stretch Marks.

Mederma is masssaged into the scar, it allows you to effectively treat your scars without bulky, uncomfortable cosmetic pads or dressings!.

INGREDIENTS:
Water(purified), PEG-4, Onion Extract (allium cepa), Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Sorbic Acid.

DIRECTIONS:
Should be generously applied and gently rubbed into the scar 3-4 times a day for 8 weeks on new scars, and 3-4 times a day for 3-6 months on existing scars.
Store at room temperature.

-->I recently cut my thumb quite deeply and needed 5 stitches. As soon as the cut was healed enough to leave the band aid off completely, I started using Mederma. That was about two weeks ago, and I'm already absolutely stunned by the results. The scar is so faded already that you can barely tell it was ever there, and, according to the directions, I have 6 more weeks that I should apply it, and, of course, I will. -->It works very well on new scars. You will have no trouble seeing results. It takes much longer to see results on old scars. My skin is prone to keloid, so I keep Mederma on hand at all times and try to treat all new scars. It doesn't take much time to get rid of them -- especially if you work to prevent infection and then use Mederma once the scar is closed. Plus, the ingredients are fairly natural since it is made with onion extract. I have recommended this product to a friend. I told her just what I am telling you... She was satisfied.

-->I got burned on my upper arm 6 months ago and had a bad scar about 7" long. After reading the directions on Mederma I thought the results would be very slow and hardly noticeable for a long time after starting use. I was very surprised when I could see a difference after only a few days. Now it's been 12 days and the scar has been reduced by half. I only use it twice a day and it's no trouble at all. -->Ok I havent used Mederma in years, but I had a bad scar on my face and I used it here and there. Yes it did itch but I didnt even use it that much at all and it still worked. You can barely see my scar. Until now I had bad blister on my feet that popped and the skin came off (yes gross I know)... well it left such bad red swollen scar and I used everything vitamin e anything you can think of, so I used Mederma again this time put it on couple times a day and Im not even kidding within days I see such a difference. I had a bad scar from a chain saw accident; actually the cut wasnt that bad, I guess my jeans helped when the thing kicked back, but it healed with two large raised places.
